How DyteIQ started

DyteIQ didn't start as an app. It started as a spreadsheet.

Back in 2017, one of us was dating the way most people do: going on gut, trusting memory, letting chemistry do the driving. And it kept steering wrong. The red flag from date two, forgotten by date four. Talking yourself into people your own notes would have talked you out of. So the unromantic thing happened. A spreadsheet, tracking the people actually being dated.

At first it was blunt. But the longer it got used, the clearer it became that the things that actually predicted anything weren't the surface stuff. They were behavioral. Is this person emotionally available? Do our values line up? Can I trust what they say? Am I even myself around them? The shallow scores faded. The behavior told the truth.

That system got used, in one form or another, for years. It didn't make anyone cold. It made them honest with themselves, and they stopped confusing a good night for a good match.

The creators of DyteIQ believe clarity in dating comes from that same place: tracking the signals instead of trusting memory and hormones. DyteIQ is that spreadsheet, grown up. Rebuilt into something behavioral, values-based, and actually usable. The tool we wish we'd had in 2017.
